For sports, documentary and brand editors on Mac

Find any shot. On any drive.

Type the sponsor on an LED board, the name on a jersey or the slate from day three. Theia lands on the exact seconds, even when the drive is sitting in a drawer.

Archive search

Premiere, Final Cut and Resolve can each search the project that's open. Theia catalogs every drive you've ever shot on, reads every frame, and keeps what it learns on your Mac.

Search by what's in the shot, the words on screen or a line someone said, and land on the exact moment, even when the drive is sitting in a drawer.

Live demo

We ran the Theia prototype over 22 photographs from NASA's public archive. Everything below is what it actually found: labels, words on screen, where they sit in the frame, and how sure it is, misses included.

Reading

Every frame, read.

Theia takes a frame every two seconds and reads it with Apple's own frameworks, on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded.

On screen

Every word on screen.

Signs, slates, sponsors, lower thirds, the monitor at the back of the room. A sign read slightly differently is still the same sign: this one came back as “Accomplishe”.

Faces

Every face on camera.

People in the shot are found and boxed, so the moments someone is in frame are a search away.

Search

Found in 26 ms.

Search reads the catalog on your Mac, not the drives, so it's instant even when the drive is in a drawer. Every result says Strong, Likely or Weak.¹

Hand-off

Straight into your edit.

Drag the exact range into Final Cut, Premiere or Resolve, or export FCPXML and EDL with in and out points already set. No plugin.

Unplugged isn't unsearchable.

Theia keeps a small catalog of every drive it has seen. Search it, preview it, tag it. Plug the drive back in and the file opens. Drives are known by their ID, so renaming or moving one doesn't lose it.

Everything stays on your Mac.

Private by design

Unreleased footage, client work under NDA, interviews you promised to protect. Theia reads everything with Apple's own frameworks, on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing trains anyone's AI.

Faces, found everywhere

Theia spots people on camera across every drive. In 1.0, name someone once and every shot they're in is a search away.

No account, no cloud

Indexing, transcription and search all run offline. The licence works offline too. It's safe for NDA work, and it works on a plane.

Honest results

Every result says Strong, Likely or Weak, and when nothing matches, Theia says so instead of guessing. Your own tags always rank first.

Every frame, searchable.

Your whole archive

One search runs across every drive at once, including the ones that aren't plugged in. These matches are real prototype results on the same NASA frames.

How Theia compares.

Premiere, Final Cut and Resolve search the project that's open. Jumper searches what it has analysed, from inside your editor. NeoFinder remembers every drive, but not what's on them. Theia reads every frame on every drive, keeps it on your Mac, and costs one payment.

Questions, answered.

Is Theia a subscription?
No. You pay once and it's yours. A year of updates is included. After that you can renew for new features, or keep the version you have forever.
When does it ship?
Theia 1.0 is planned for November 2026. Founding buyers get beta builds as they're ready. If 1.0 isn't out by 15 November 2026, you're refunded automatically.
Does my footage leave my Mac?
Never. Indexing, transcription, text and face detection all run on your Mac using Apple's frameworks. No account, no cloud, no analytics. It's safe for NDA and unreleased work.
Which Macs and formats?
Apple silicon Macs on macOS 26 Tahoe or later. Anything macOS can play, including H.264, HEVC, ProRes and XAVC, from Sony, Canon, DJI, GoPro and iPhone, plus photos and RAW stills. Blackmagic RAW, R3D and ARRIRAW aren't in 1.0.
Does it work with my editing app?
Yes. Drag a result into Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Avid, or export FCPXML or EDL with in and out points set. No plugin needed.
How accurate is it?
Every result is labelled Strong, Likely or Weak, and when nothing matches, Theia says so. The demo shows the prototype's real output, misses included: it labelled a hurricane photographed from orbit as "snow".
Can I get a refund?
Yes: any time before 1.0 ships, and for 30 days after. Just reply to your receipt.
